As part of a CNES-funded project involving IM2NP, LTM and CINAM, samples of silicon coated with various materials were sent to the International Space Station (ISS) on November 24. They are part of a study initiated by CNES into the ageing of materials exposed to space vacuum. The broader aim of the project is to develop a new type of photovoltaic cell based on metallic nano-antennas. Contact : C.Gourgon.
