Research
Exploring the brain through microtechnologies.
Fabrice Iacovella presented his work entitled: «Fabrication and characterization of planar SiC microelectrode arrays for long-life neural interfaces». His intervention focused on the development of silicon carbide (SiC) planar microelectrode arrays, designed to provide long-term stability and durability in neural tissue interface devices.
The manufacturing of these devices is based on the infrastructures of the PTA platform and the GECCO 200-300 platform, within the framework of the SiCNeural project funded by the ANR (National Research Agency) and the Grenoble-NeuroTech program of the Université Grenoble Alpes.
These technologies are at the heart of research aimed at recording and stimulating neuronal activity with high reliability, opening perspectives for tomorrow’s neurotechnologies and biomedical applications.
