MATEPI SUMMER SCHOOL OF EPITAXY 2025

The MATEPI 2025 epitaxy summer school, organized by the GDR, will be held on the Côte d'Azur from June 22 to 27, 2025, on the island of Porquerolles.

This summer school is aimed at PhD students, as well as junior and senior scientists.

The program is designed to provide an overview of epitaxy, encompassing its fundamental principles and contemporary applications in various fields, including semiconductors, oxides, two-dimensional (2D) materials and metals. In addition, it will offer a detailed exposition of nanoscale crystal growth, addressing both the theoretical foundations and recent advances in the field. The school will also look at the potential and challenges associated with epitaxy, offering an overview of its applications and the factors that influence its effectiveness. In addition, the school will provide a comprehensive overview of the electronic and optical properties of nanostructures obtained by epitaxy, as well as the methodologies employed for their characterization. Finally, the use of epitaxy for new fundamental objects and industrial applications will be explored.
