Summer School on the physics and Applications of Nitrides

The Summer School on Physics and Applications of Nitrides is organized in 2025 in Porquerolles (83) by the GANEXT program.

It enters a cycle of biennial schools organized by GANEX in Montpellier-La Grande Motte in 2013, Nice in 2015, Autrans in 2017 and Agay in 2019, and of annual schools organized by GANEXT in Porquerolles in 2021, Autrans in 2022, Porquerolles in 2023 and Porquerolles in 2024.

GaNeXT's work program was defined when GaNeXT-Phase 2 was submitted in 2018. It is characterized by a focus on activities in electronics (RF and power) and optics (UV LED, flexible LED and integrated photonics). The school is partly following this focus. The 2021 school will aim to provide the general basis for nitride semiconductors and to explore certain themes, including nitrides for electronic and optic applications. Particular attention will be paid to pedagogy, with two levels of courses, general and specialized. The group work will also provide an opportunity to build relationships between students and strengthen networking.
