The Laboratoire des Technologies de la Microélectronique (LTM) is a mixed research unit which was created in 1999 by the CNRS, the 'Université Grenoble Alpes' (ex University Joseph Fourier) and the ' Grenoble INP, Graduate Schools of Engineering And Management, Université Grenoble Alpes' with the main objective of strengthening partnerships with the CEA-LETI in the field of micro and nanotechnologies applied to microelectronic.

Located on the CEA-Grenoble site within the CEA-Léti area, the positioning of the LTM, as academic laboratory, within a research and development center using state-of-the-art 300 mm CMOS technological tools, is unique internationally. This allows LTM to collaborate with major players in the field of microelectronics.

Anticipating significant societal demand for environmentally friendly technologies and products, the LTM has been diversifying its research areas since 2008 in order to meet new technological challenges in the major application fields of the Internet of Things, the energy, the environment and health care. These challenges call on varied skills and expertise, whose synergy with microelectronics technologies allows the laboratory to be positioned at the forefront of innovation and spin-off development.
